We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Corporate Proposal Coordinator to coordinate the development of technical proposal documents for a variety of construction, maintenance, and infrastructure installation and upgrade projects for Municipal Water customers.  You will work cooperatively with the marketing director and sales professionals from across the organization to gather information necessary for production of RFPs and RFQs.  The ideal candidate must be have strong interpersonal skills as well as be organized, meticulous, creative, and bring a desire to tackle challenges as an opportunity to develop new skills and contribute to company objectives and growth. This position is based in the Atlanta, GA, corporate headquarters.
  
Essential Job Functions include:
  • Administers and coordinates timely proposal development activities and presentation, including writing new content and organizing content from other contributors, ensuring the professionalism, consistency, uniformity and timeliness of all RFPs.
  • Works with members of the sales teams to help manage pipeline of incoming proposals, identify needed responses and timelines, and communicate with sales leaders during the RFI/RFP process, from receipt and prioritization of work to delivery.
  • Develops final RFP documents with input from sales, pricing, and legal departments, and coordinates delivery of proposal packages.
  • Assists in identification, development, and implementation of new contract policy and processes.
  • Draft, update and maintain templates, practice descriptions, tailored content and other standard response language used in proposals and RFPs.
  • Adopts process improvements and understands procedures to manage risks and liabilities in development of official documents in municipal bids/RFPs/RFIs/etc.
  • Maintains awareness of all RFP opportunities for company; ensures all RFPs are entered into Salesforce.com and maintains database of RFPs.
  • Keeps track of RFP pricing for products and territories and ensures that RFP pricing of competitors is documented in Salesforce.com.
  • Analyzes contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and business unit procedure.
QUALIFICATIONS include: 
  • 4-year degree preferred; English, Communications, Journalism or similar degree preferred.
  • 3 to 4 years experience administering RFP/RFQ proposal development; experience developing municipal or public utility proposals is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills including advanced experience with Microsoft Office and desktop publishing, preferably with Adobe InDesign.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to multi-task.
